MANA 5K at Liberty Park

23 Jun

06-24-2017 to 06-24-2017 – The Queen Center is proud to host their 5th Annual MANA 5K, an exciting health-promotion event at Salt Lake City’s Liberty Park. The Queen Center was established to unite and empower Pacific Islander communities to live healthier lifestyles.  In order to make a difference in our community, the Queen Center will donate all proceeds from this 5K event to two deserving individuals: Sabrina Inoke and Salesi Toutai.

Sabrina is 2 years old and has been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder known as Cyclin-Dependent Kinase-like 5. CDKL5 is a rare X-linked genetic disorder that results in difficult to control seizures, and severe neurodevelopmental impairment. Salesi has end stage renal (kidney) failure and does dialysis three times a week. He is hoping to get on the transplant list this year.

Joins us as we walk (or run) towards a better future.
