Friday Night Flicks – Raiders of the Lost Ark

Popcorn is free while it lasts. Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy a neighborhood party under the stars. The Food Truck League will be there with food available for purchase.

Community booths will open at 8:00pm and the movies will begin around 9:15pm.

Levitt AMP Midvale Music Series – The Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band

07-01-2016 to 07-01-2016 – July 1 is the return engagement of local favorite The Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band, in addition to being a group of musicians, the 23rd Army Band is a group of U.S. Army Soldiers. They maintain readiness with a full training schedule including an annual weapons qualification, a semiannual physical training test, basic Soldier training, and training in many other skills required of Soldiers and members of the Utah National Guard.

The public is invited to bring their own picnics, blankets and lawn chairs to the concerts, which will have an open lawn setting. Food trucks will be on site each night. Additional activities will include sports, art, music & dance for the whole family. The Levitt AMP concert series will be presented at the Midvale City Park, 455 West 7500 South. Admission is free.

Red Butte Garden Art Camp

06-27-2016 to 07-01-2016 – Join us as we take art to Red Butte Garden and Arboretum. We will meet on location and will set-up our drawing boards to sketch both native and exotic botany.  We will use several mediums including: pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, markers and ink. This is a great time to learn new art techniques while spending time outdoors. We will provide all the supplies as well as a VAI t-shirt for all students. You will need to come prepared with a water bottle, sunscreen (already applied), hat and small folding chair.

For children ages 5-11.

Face of Utah Sculpture XII Exhibit Opening Reception

06-30-2016 to 06-30-2016 – Celebrating its 12th year, the Face of Utah Sculpture provides Utah artists a forum to present Utah culture through sculptural form. The origins of this dynamic exhibit, originally envisioned by glass artist Dan Cummings, features both well-known and emerging Utah sculptors, showcasing both traditional and contemporary sculpture in a variety of techniques, styles, mediums and forms. The result is an exciting and eclectic mix of excellence in artistry in countless forms!
